As many of you know, Eric Wammock, popular Pro League star and Director of Tennis at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis, had a traumatic health incident two Fridays ago which put him in the hospital.  From what we hear, he is expected to make a full recovery,  but will miss work in the meantime.  Julie Jilly, Vice President at the PTR, asked us to help spread the message about a very important way you can help Eric and his family weather the financial burden of his recuperation.

The Wammock Family Fund has been set up at Coastal States Bank to assist Eric and his family. You can drop off a donation at any Coastal States Bank location at 5 Bow Circle beside the post office or on Thurmond Way beside the Bluffton Post Office.

Or you can mail a donation to Coastal States Bank, PO Box 4800, HHI, SC 29938.

Eric’s fellow pro’s and friends wish him a speedy recovery in this video:

Pro League Tennis at Palmetto Dunes

The fourth 2015 Pro League tennis match was held last Friday night at Palmetto Dunes.  An estimated four hundred people turned out to see amazing tennis.  The event supported the Hilton Head Humane Association through donations and food and beverage purchases.  Many in attendance also picked up a deposit slip to support the Wammock Family Foundation (see above).

The players dedicated the night to Eric Wammock, and all wore his name on the backs of their shirts in support.

In the standings, Spinnaker narrowly held onto their lead for the third straight week.   In the first matches Merrill Lynch beat Island Family Dental 2-1. Later, Player’s World prevailed over Spinnaker 2-1. To see the individual match scores, visit the Pro League Facebook page at  www.facebook.com/HHIPTL. First Paws and Balls Tournament a Success

Tournament Director, Jackie Reynecke was pleased with the turnout for the first annual Paws and Balls Team Tennis Tournament held at Palmetto Dunes last weekend.  There were six ten-member teams that competed in a format that included singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.  Hilton Head Plastic Surgery sponsored the event which benefited the Hilton Head Humane Association.  In addition to the entry fees, money was raised for the HHHA through a silent auction, beverage donations,  and by the players who could improve their chances in the tournament by purchasing extra serves, substitutions, and even, toward the end- players from other teams!
